Project Description

Georgia College & State University
Milledgeville, GA

Griffith Engineering completed a long term utility plan for Georgia College and State University that included recommendations for energy consumption reduction, energy cost reduction, sustainability, and operational efficiency. The effort encompassed 30 core buildings on campus and included:

▪ A utility analysis to determine how to improve upon existing real time pricing and summer shutdown strategies. The analysis served as the baseline for development of all campus operational strategies.

▪ A walkthrough of key buildings to understand existing systems and provide information and recommendations to improve them operationally and through capital improvements.

▪ Analysis of energy recovery units in residence halls to determine operational efficiencies, and provide an analysis of operational strategies.

▪ A report and presentation of findings that fully explain how the campus is operating under the existing rate structure and discuss next steps in the development of campus operational strategies.

▪ 1,289,000 square feet.
