Dickson County Courthouse – Charlotte, TN

This newly constructed three-story building consolidates the county’s multiple existing court facilities within its 70,000 square feet. -Construction was substantially completed in November 2020.

The basement floor consists of a secure judges’ parking area, the Juvenile Courtroom, and an inmate and law enforcement entrance, which connects to the holding cells and Security central control. Secure holding cells are also located on the upper two floors near the courts that comprise the building’s largest area. The top two floors accommodate Circuit Court, Chancery Court, General Sessions Court, and Probate Court .  A multi-purpose room is located on the main floor that can be configured to handle large conferences, Jury Assembly, Grand Jury, and Courtroom waiting.

Griffith Engineering provided design services for Video Surveillance, Access Control, Life Safety, Detention, IT, and Court Technology Low Voltage Services.
