Colony Square Office Buildings
As part of the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge to reduce energy and water consumption in commercial buildings, Griffith Engineering completed a walk-through energy audit of two office buildings in the Colony Square mixed-use complex:
– Building 100
24 floors, ca. 1969 425,000 square feet.
– Building 400
22 floors, ca. 1973, 490,000 square feet.
A report was created that included details on the existing conditions of each building, proposed improvements, and high level energy and financial analysis of each identified energy conservation measure recommended for consideration. The document is intended to open the discussion for building owners on how best to reduce energy consumption to meet the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge goal, while also being financially responsible.
