Bond Swamp National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center
▪ Renovation of the ca. 1905 Ray residence and an adjoining porch to create a new visitor center and office.
▪ Addition of HVAC to the previously unconditioned space, as well as replacement of gas unit heaters with central heat.
▪ Air distribution grille and register locations and styles were designed to coordinate with the historic feel of the facility.
▪ The renovation kept most all of the existing structure intact, and included a new exterior ADA ramp, kitchen update, new interior attic stair, new roof for the main house and pump house, new attic insulation, replacement of damaged exterior stairs and porch deck, as well as new window panes and storm windows.
▪ 5,600 square feet.
