Griffith Engineering, Inc. is proud to announce that Business Development Manager, Lisa Roberson, CPSM, FSMPS, has been elevated to the Fellows Program of the Society for Marketing Professional Services. The Fellow designation recognizes Lisa’s significant contributions to the Society and to the profession of marketing professional services.
SMPS is a community of marketing and business development professionals working to secure profitable business relationships for their firms. The Fellows of SMPS represent the highest level of experience and leadership in marketing within the design and building industries. They serve as a resource to SMPS chapter and the Society, and provide insight, ideas, programs, and mentoring support. Additionally, these individuals teach, write, and speak on marketing issues outside of SMPS, working to advance the profession of marketing professional services in the A/E/C industry.
A decades long advocate of professional services marketing, Lisa has served in various positions at the local, regional, and national levels of SMPS including President of the Atlanta Chapter, and Chair of the National Certification Committee. She also served three years as a Trustee of the SMPS Foundation and Co-chaired the SMPS National conference Build Business: Dream Big! in 2013.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky. She began working in the A/E/C industry in 1985, and joined SMPS in 1986 and has been a member in good standing of the Society since that time. In addition to being an active member of SMPS, Lisa is a member of the Construction Managers Association of America South Atlantic Chapter where she serves on the Board of Directors as the Co-director of Programs, and she is a member of the Society for College and University Planning.
The 2017 class of SMPS Fellows will be honored at the Evening of Excellence during the Society’s annual conference in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 13, 2017.
