Forsyth County School

As a trusted partner for Forsyth County Schools, GEI was tasked with redesigning the ventilation systems for a number of schools to incorporate centralized energy recovery units. This was part of a continuing effort by the school system to improve air quality while reducing energy consumption. GEI provided architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design services and performed required construction administration services.

  • Scope included full retrofit on 16 schools’ ventilation systems.
  • $17,000,000 SPLOST project.
  • Project included vapor barrier improvements to help solve indoor air humidity issues.
  • New Designs raised outside air levels to 15 cfm per student.
  • Upgrades of existing HVAC systems at schools and supporting facilities where required.
