Florida A&M University – Steam Decentralization

This project included design and construction documents for the decentralization of the school’s steam system at their Tallahassee, FL campus. GEI served as the design consultant to the Design-Build contractor and provided mechanical, electrical and architectural building design services

  • Removal of 11 buildings from the central steam system.
  • 8 new outdoor boilers and 3 indoor units in new boiler buildings.
  • Dedicated outside air unit at Colman Library.
  • Architectural screen design for outdoor boilers.
  • $6.6 million project.
